Rancagua is a city in Chile located in the region of Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins.
It is the capital of the region and has a population of around 240,000.
It is an important center of services and commerce for the central zone of Chile. Among its tourist attractions are the Plaza de los Héroes, the Rancagua Cathedral, the Rancagua Regional Museum and the Río de los Cipreses National Reserve.
Rancagua is also known for hosting important sporting events, such as the National Rodeo Championship and the international Ironman 70.3 competition.
